Career and Skill Development

Technical professionals have the ideas, expertise and knowledge we need, but technical excellence alone will not solve today’s complex issues. To ensure their knowledge is utilised, technical professionals need communication and leadership skills and the capacity to influence stakeholders from a range of backgrounds.

How do we empower technical professionals to lead the changes we need for a liveable, sustainable future?

Our vision is to fundamentally improve the way we live by bridging the gap between technical solutions and society.

Foundry helps technical professionals broaden their skill sets and become effective in today’s complex operating environment by changing the way they approach communication.

Our water industry specific courses focus on the delivery of training and capacity building round communicating technical ideas.

We empower leaders and change agents to broaden their skills sets to:

  • Be more effective in your role
  • Become a recognised leader
  • Influence practice change

Foundry helps technical professionals and organisations become industry leaders and influences in today’s operating environment.

DELWP has a reform program to systematically roll out IWM across Victoria, and for it to be successful, we need local government to be engaged. We asked Foundry to deliver a short IWM training module at the Councilor Development Weekend to give Councilors an appreciation of how IWM can benefit the whole community. The feedback we got was extremely positive, with some saying it was the best module of the whole day, but was too short. The Municipal Association of Victoria has asked us to use Foundry to expand the module to a half-day session.

What our clients say...

Lindsey successfully project managed and made invaluable intellectual contribution to a project that has the potential to save Victorian taxpayers multiple millions of dollars. Lindsey’s knowledge of stormwater policy and critical assessment of the situation, combined with her apt communication skills, helped lead to a desirable and swift outcome for Melbourne Water. I would not hesitate to engage Lindsey again for solutions to urban stormwater policy problems.

- Aquatic Scientist

I would definitely recommend Lindsey and her team. Her ability to take complex issues and frame them in a way that is understandable by the community was invaluable. Helping us to be really clear on the purpose, audience and key messages for our document was what made it a success.

- Project Director

We had a need for an engaging collaborative submission to a planning agency. Lindsey knows what she is doing and has the passion to see change and is intent on getting the job done to a point she will be proud of the outcome.
